News January 27, 2016

SAN ANTONIO, TX, January 27, 2016 – PCI Solar has begun construction of a rooftop solar system for John H Sorola, Inc., an outdoor power equipment company with decades of service to San Antonio customers. The system leverages CPS Energy’s solar rebate, one of the best in the nation, providing Sorola an extremely attractive return on investment when paired with federal tax incentives and energy bill savings.

Sorola, an independently owned small business located at 523 West Cypress Street in San Antonio, is an authorized STIHL equipment dealer. The company sells and services a wide variety of outdoor power equipment such as chainsaws, blowers, and trimmers for landscaping and lawn and garden maintenance.

The CPS rebate was renewed for 2016 at an initial level of $1.20 per watt AC of installed capacity. The dollar per watt incentive, which will step down over time, will help continue the increasing adoption of solar by San Antonio business. Local PCI customers such as Ace Foam and HoltCAT have paired this rebate with the 30% Federal investment tax credit and other tax benefits to reap significant return on their solar investment. These companies chose PCI to help them go solar due to compelling project economics and PCI’s local presence in San Antonio and experience building projects in CPS territory.
