Engineering Excellence and Electrical Expertise: Meet Alex Petrovich

At HOLT Renewables, our people are the energy behind every project we deliver—and few exemplify that more than Alex Petrovich.

Alex plays a dual role on our team, serving as both a key design engineer and our Master Electrician/License Qualifier. With nearly two decades of experience in the solar industry, Alex brings a depth of knowledge that supports every phase of project development—from plan sets and system layouts to providing real-time technical solutions. His day-to-day is fast-paced and unpredictable, but he thrives in the dynamic nature of the job, always ready to jump in and find a path forward when challenges arise.

In his capacity as Master Electrician, Alex is responsible for helping HOLT Renewables expand into new markets by securing licensure across the country. This means spending time outside of his engineering work to study, test, and verify qualifications in each state. He’s currently licensed in four states, with several more underway—each one a reflection of his dedication to growth and excellence.

When asked what HOLT’s values mean to him, Alex shared, “It’s about continually striving to improve myself and helping those I work with improve.” That mindset shows up in the way he supports newer team members, shares knowledge, and helps keep complex projects moving forward.

Outside of work, Alex enjoys spending time with his wife, Hala, and their two cats, Ziggy and Pan. He’s also an active volunteer at his local park, where he recently donated a custom-built kids’ play bench he made himself. A skilled woodworker and artist, Alex expresses his creativity through oil pastels—currently working on a striking series of crushed can drawings.
