For over a decade, Aaron Arriaga has been immersed in the renewable energy infrastructure space — and for the past six years, he’s brought that knowledge and passion to HOLT Renewables. In his current role in sales, Aaron is driven by more than numbers. He’s focused on building trust, creating lasting partnerships, and identifying meaningful opportunities to grow the business. “It’s much more than a job,” he says. “It’s a passion.” Whether he’s on a jobsite, in a meeting, or simply driving down the highway, Aaron is always scanning for ways to connect HOLT Renewables’ capabilities with the needs of growing organizations.
Aaron doesn’t just talk about Values Based Leadership — he lives it. He credits HOLT’s core values for helping him stay grounded through the natural highs and lows of a fast-paced industry. “When times are good, they’re good, but when things slow down, it’s easy to get discouraged,” he says. “Keeping HOLT’s core values top of mind — especially commitment and being dynamic — has helped me stay focused and rise to the occasion when things get tough.”
One of Aaron’s proudest accomplishments has been bridging the gap between HOLT Renewables and other HOLT Group companies to create new opportunities. A standout example: his collaboration with HOLT Industrial Systems and Brauntex Materials on a shared project. “HOLT Renewables is fundamentally different from the other businesses in the group, so navigating those relationships hasn’t always been easy,” he says. “But finding champions within the organization and creating success together has been incredibly rewarding.”
For Aaron, the HOLT values aren’t just a corporate framework — they’re a guide for life. “I can’t say it enough — HOLT’s core values are a great foundation for being a solid human,” he says. “At work and at home, I try to do the right thing and give every task my best effort.”
That foundation was laid early in life. Aaron grew up in Coldspring, Texas, and spent much of his youth working alongside his great-grandfather, “Gramps,” a civil engineer turned land developer who brought Aaron onto job sites starting at age 9. His father served as a Houston police officer for 36 years, instilling the kind of discipline Aaron now sees as a gift. And his mother and stepfather ran a heavy equipment business in San Jacinto County — a real-world education in entrepreneurship and resilience that sparked his interest in sales and business leadership.
Today, Aaron lives in Lakeway, Texas, just west of Austin, with his wife Devan and their dog, Zaza. They enjoy being outside and spending time on Lake Travis. When the weather’s right, you’ll find Aaron rock climbing, and when winter rolls around, he heads to the mountains to ski. He and Devan have recently taken up astronomy and love capturing images of the night sky through their deep space telescope.
In addition to his role at HOLT Renewables, Aaron is currently pursuing his MBA at the Texas McCombs School of Business, where he attends evening classes twice a week. It’s yet another example of the drive and curiosity that fuel everything he does.
Whether he’s closing a deal, exploring new partnerships, or simply gazing at the stars, Aaron Arriaga leads with passion, persistence, and purpose — and he’s just getting started.
